Pump Management Programme™ (PMP™)

Pump Management Programme™ (PMP™) is a framework in which Pump Management works in partnership with the end user to deliver all-round performance improvement of pump assets, either for an individual site or multiple sites. Pump Management Programme™ will only provide optimum performance improvements if the end user management team buy in to concept. The lowest cost of ownership comes from an holistic approach to pumps and systems. By reviewing pump performance, operation and repairs, it helps to provide solutions to pump reliability and performance. Pump Management’s resource, expertise and culture aims for maximum performance.

Energy
Pumps and systems will be managed to minimise energy consumption within the operational requirements of the system. On-site pump performance testing will be carried out to evaluate and optimise pump performance.

Projects
Pump Management are able to provide a cost-effective design to commission of up-graded or new pump systems using in-house Boulting Group resources.

Spares
Good relationships with OEMs and international purchasing power enables Pump Management to minimise spares costs for all pumps.

Maintenance
Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) form an important part of the maintenance regime within a PMP™ contract. A PMP™ contract focuses on both cost reduction and reliability improvement, and both can be achieved through effective use of CBM, RCM and expertise within Pump Management.

Inventory Management
Effective inventory management is a big money saver. Often the inventory management starts after all the pumps and spares have been purchased. As well as providing inventory management on existing plant and spares, Pump Management provide inventory management prior to order placement of any pumps for projects or individual purchases.

Reliability
Reliability improvements are a key area for overall reduction in cost and improvement in plant availability. Most of the ‘hidden’ work, involving much investigation, results in providing significant reliability improvements.

Equipment Supply
It is in Pump Management’s interest to supply pumps and ancillary equipment to optimise performance. Pump Management

Effective spares management within PMP™ enables the end user to minimise inventory and maximise use of capital.
